We have a multi-function printer and the consumables from the same manufacturer. A protection schema has been

set to allow the printer to accept ONLY the toner cartridge from the same manufacturer.

We want to see how the security measures work and verify if they are effective in term of security.

Here are the different steps we are going to review:

_ How the protection schema works

_ Dump the firmware flash printer

_ Find and reverse engineering the vulnerable function
